Alliances are Flyorian’s cooperative layer: independent airlines pool the kilometres they fly into one shared score, unlock perks for every member, coordinate in chat, react to announcements and challenge rival alliances to week-long battles — without ever giving up control of their own routes.
Real-world carriers join alliances such as Star Alliance, oneworld or SkyTeam to share a brand, a lounge network and a frequent-flyer programme while each company keeps its own fleet and balance sheet. Flyorian borrows exactly that idea. An alliance is a club of independent player airlines with a name, a short tag shown next to every member, an emblem and a common goal: fly more, together, than anyone else on the board.
What an alliance does not do matters just as much. It never merges networks, never splits passengers between members and never lets another player dispatch your aircraft. Your hub, your fleet, your cash and your routes stay yours, and cabins still fly full. The alliance only reads the result of what you already do — claiming landed flights — and turns it into a shared score. That is why joining costs you nothing in day-to-day play: the same claim that pays your treasury also feeds your team.
Every claimed flight earns contribution points for its airline’s alliance: roughly one point per 100 km flown plus one point per 50 passengers carried, and long-haul legs of 3,000 km or more are worth 25% extra. A regional hop adds a handful of points; a full widebody crossing an ocean adds well over a hundred. Points go into an append-only ledger keyed by flight, so the score is honest — a replayed claim can never count twice.
Lifetime points drive the alliance level, from Codeshare at level 1 to Sky dominion at level 8. Each level raises the member cap — from 10 airlines up to 35 — and improves perks that apply automatically to every member’s flights: extra cash yield, extra airline XP, extra hub materials and a discount on fuel. At the top tier that means +8% cash, +15% XP, +15% materials and 10% cheaper fuel for everyone on the roster.
Then there are battles, the competitive heart of the system. The leader of one alliance challenges a rival; once the other leader accepts, both sides race for points for seven days. Scores update live as members claim flights, so the board moves while you play. The winning side’s members each bank a cash prize and gems, the losing side still keeps 15% of the cash for showing up, and the winning alliance flies with a three-day victory buff.
Alliances also have a social surface built for short sessions. Officers and the leader can post announcements to the roster — short ops notes, battle kickoffs, recruiting pitches — and every member can react with a fixed set of emoji (👍❤️👀🔥😂✈️🫶😍☺️😎😆). Tap a reaction count to open a modal that lists who reacted, so coordination stays readable without scrolling a long comment thread.
Alliance chat sits beside the same idea: a member channel for day-to-day chatter, with the same reaction set on each message and officer tools to hide spam. Chat is retention-windowed so the room stays current; unread badges on the bottom nav tell you when the roster moved while you were offline. Social never gates progression — you can mute the noise and keep flying solo perks if you prefer — but when a battle week starts, a quick reaction on the kickoff post is often enough to rally the roster.
This page covers the cooperative, multiplayer side of Flyorian. Friend visits and the personal milestone feed live on the airline friends game annex — a different social loop that never pools alliance points. For the core carrier loop see airline company management; for empire-scale growth see airline tycoon; for revenue and fuel formulas see airline simulator. Alliances sit on top of all of that — an optional reason to fly a little further, with people who fly too.
Founding an alliance
Any airline at level 5 can found an alliance for a €250,000 fee — a mid-game commitment, not a day-one click. Pick a name (3–32 characters), a 2–5 letter tag, one of eight emblems and a short public description, then choose whether the doors are open or invite-only.
Joining and leaving
Officers and the leader can invite any airline that is not already in an alliance; invitations expire after 72 hours. Open alliances can be joined directly. You belong to one alliance at a time and can leave whenever you want — your network leaves with you, untouched.
Leader, officers, members
The leader manages ranks, settings and battles. Officers recruit and can remove members, but not each other. Members fly and score. If the leader leaves, command passes to the most senior officer, and an alliance disbands only when its last member goes.
Contribution points
About 1 point per 100 km plus 1 per 50 passengers, +25% on legs of 3,000 km or more. Long-haul is rewarded on purpose: building a real network — the subject of build your airline — is the fastest way to lift your team.
Eight levels of shared perks
Codeshare, Interline, Regional pact, Continental, Intercontinental, Global network, Sky cartel and Sky dominion. Each tier adds roster slots and boosts cash, XP, materials and fuel for every member. The fuel perk counts against your refinery or shop discount — the best one applies.
Seven-day alliance battles
A leader challenges a rival with at least two members on each side; the target has 48 hours to accept. For the next seven days only points earned inside the window count. Prizes scale with the winning score and the margin, and a draw pays both sides the consolation amount.
Victory buff
Winning a battle grants every member three days of +5% cash, +5% XP, +5% materials and 3% cheaper fuel, stacked on top of the level perks. It is the payoff for a busy week — and a reason rival leaders keep an eye on your score.
Announcements with reactions
Leaders and officers post short roster messages. Members react with a fixed emoji set and can open a who-reacted modal — useful for battle callouts without a comment storm.
Alliance chat
A dedicated chat tab for the roster, with the same emoji reactions on messages, officer hide tools and a bottom-nav unread badge when you miss a conversation while offline.
Rankings and public profiles
Alliance tags appear next to players on the leaderboard, and a dedicated alliance ranking can be sorted by points, distance, members or battles won. Every alliance has a public profile with its emblem, roster and record — handy when choosing which one to join.
Do I have to join an alliance?
No. Flyorian stays fully playable solo: no route, aircraft or airport is locked behind an alliance, and you never compete with other players for passengers. Alliances add bonuses, chat and a weekly rivalry for those who want them. Prefer one-to-one visits instead? See airline friends. New to the game? Start with how to play, reach level 5, then decide whether to found your own team or join one.
They turn the flights you already claim into a shared score. That score levels the alliance up, which raises member slots and boosts cash, XP, materials and fuel for everyone, and it is what counts when your alliance battles a rival for seven days. Chat and announcement reactions help the roster coordinate without changing the economy.
Will alliance members share my routes or passengers?
No. Each airline keeps its own fleet, hub, treasury and network, and cabins always fly full. An alliance pools points and perks — never aircraft, routes or demand.
When can I found or join an alliance?
Founding requires airline level 5 and a €250,000 fee. Joining has no level gate: accept an invitation from a leader or officer, or join an alliance whose doors are open.
How do alliance battles work?
A leader challenges another alliance; if it accepts within 48 hours, both race for points over seven days. The winners’ members each receive cash and gems, the losers keep 15% of the cash, and the winning alliance gets a three-day buff.
Do short flights help my alliance?
Yes — every claimed flight scores at least one point. Distance weighs most, though, and legs of 3,000 km or more earn a 25% bonus, so long-haul flying moves the board fastest.
Can I leave an alliance later?
At any time. Your airline keeps everything it owns; you simply stop receiving that alliance’s perks. Points you contributed stay with the alliance.
What reactions can I use on alliance posts and chat?
A fixed set — 👍❤️👀🔥😂✈️🫶😍☺️😎😆. You can toggle each independently, and a modal shows who reacted with what.
How is alliance social different from the friends feed?
Alliance chat and announcements are for your club roster and battle coordination. The friends feed shows personal milestones from accepted friends — level-ups, alliance moves, visit milestones — and lives on the airline friends page.
